When you see a homeless person, do you instantly make the connection-drug burn out/life ruined, drugs bad?

    Nope, I think lying organized scams. But that is becouse I rarely go into the city or laces where I see them anymore. The ones that I do see are at an intersection going to a large complex, that are part one group that take turns begging there.

    no ... I understand their path could have been fraught w/ misfortune. It's not my call to jump to conclusions. As a lib, it's my inclination to judge on an individual basis ... not some group mentality that persecutes innocent people.

    No.  I've been homeless.  Drugs/booze had nothing to do with it.

    No - my first thought is that the person likely has a complicated life story and that untreated mental illness may play a role.
