    Make a deep cone shape device with thick sound proof material, then placing a smaller cone shape speaker at the bottom of cone.

    take a large parabolic microphone and replace the microphone with a small speaker. 

    but some of the sound still is there on the sides and back, just reduced a bit.

    Not without sound cancellation, which is very tricky. Sound propagates in all directions from all points in space.
