what can go wrong if I exercise while sleep deprived?
I have been getting about 5-6 hours of sleep per night for about a month. This week has been especially stressful and I have gotten only 2 hours for the past two nights. If I can't sleep tonight, I want to got for a leisurely bike ride to calm myself down and tire myself out a bit to hopefully sleep better in the morning (I do not work tomorrow). Besides the higher risk of getting into an accident due to delayed reaction time, what can go wrong? Can I damage my heart or muscles due to the cumulative stress of not sleeping and exercising? Am I more likely to go into cardiac arrest?
