My dentist thinks I need a root canal, a tooth pulled & a filling but a specialist thinks he can save all of them with just fillings.?

Which one is right....?

My dentist whom I see regularly thinks one tooth needs to be extracted, one needs a filling and the other one needs a root canal. He referred me to a specialist who would do the root canal and this specialist did x rays and seems to think he can save all of them by getting rid of the decay and filling it in with a crown. He thinks he can save the tooth that my dentist thinks needs to be extracted. The specialist was going to get a hold of my dentist and talk to him about his input on it will make a decision based on both their knowledge on what would be best for my teeth.

So since the specialist at the Endodontists thinks it can be saved, is there still a chance I can save the tooth that my dentist thinks needs to be extracted?

    I'd trust the specialist's opinion.
