do I need to isolate if I havent been directly in contact with someone with covid-19?

My brother has called to drop something off and stayed for a chit chat. his partner has now been tested positive for covid (he didnt know she had it when he came over). he has no symptoms but do I now need to self isolate or not?

I've googled but one article says yes. another says no.

Nah, but do wear a mask when you go out. If you feel worse in a few days, then stay home.

Yes. if his partner tested positive, he has been exposed, and there's a high rate of transmission before people start showing symptoms. Please don't expose other people. I can't imagine any article that said you didn't need to self- isolate after being exposed.

No, but where would you go?

Yes. You need to social distance and stay inside your home for the next 2-5 years. The coronavirus has made it a living hell on earth and you need to protect yourself during the worst pandemic in world history

    • I'd say that's abit excessive...

I would definitely isolate under those circumstances.
