Any ideas on what took my chickens?

Last night something took 5 of my young chickens, leaving only one of their heads and some feathers behind. There was some blood by a smaller hole ( Their coop is made of an older building, the hole was from wood rot). I cant quite identify what it was but I saw it not to long ago, I shined a light towards it and saw two smaller glowing eyes. I chased it away and it sat on the other side of the creek for a couple of hours before it went away. I suspect it might be a cat, any ideas?

I don’t know where in the US you live, but where I am, the culprit would most likely be a coyote or a raccoon.

Around here that’s mink. They sometimes decapitate and live near water

A weasel could be the culprit too, especially if you live in the country. Time to build a stronger coup.

Depends where you live. Sounds like a fox.
