Why do sunflower seeds have such an insane amount of sodium per serving?

    \\Tghey have added salt, but you may be able to get unsalted ones if you shop around. I had similar difficulty getting unsalted sun-dried tomatoes.

    they salt them before they put them in the bag. I buy the unsalted ones

    Because that is what people want. There are also low salt and no salt and many other varieties of sunflower seeds available that cater to a person's taste or their needs such as no salt for their high blood pressure.

    Because some people like it...  (I personally don't like an excessive amount of salt, but some people do.)
