A local Buddhist monastery combines cooked rice with warmed up chickpeas. Yuo can add curry or cumin if you like. But they cut firm tofu into cubes, cook it (just two sides) in a frying pan with soy sauce, and add the tofu to the rice and chickpeas. It is actually very tasty.

Chickpeas with rice makes a complete protein and meat-substitute.

Google it and see if you can find a recipe. That's what i'd do.

Look up a recipe for Chana Masala, toss diced up pieces of chicken in it too cook or pre-cook and add later. Serve over rice.

Hey, there are a lot of things you can cook with that.

Let me share a personal favorite.

You can cook a delicious Biryani with the Chickpeas, Rice and Spices at hand. If you cook enough of this, it could save you another day's cooking during the lockdown

Additionally, you could pair this up with your favorite Chicken curry or a dry preparation.

    Hope this helps!

    Enjoy :)

Make a nice dhal with the chick peas (look up a recipe) and give the chicken to your cat.
