How can humanity make the world a utopia?
- BrianLv 42 months agoFavorite Answer
Pray to God, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven." This prayer, said in faith, will produce a Utopia in your heart, which is where Utopia and peace on Earth begins, inside each one of us. Heaven is a place on Earth. And wise people know how to find it. It's not in the physical realm, it is inside us.
Also the key to life, health and contentment is gratitude. Be thankful for what you do have. Show God your gratitude by using the talents he's given you and participating in the activities he blesses us with.
It starts with one person. You, yourself. I encourage you to move forward and bring the world that much closer to peace.

Pray that our soul be lifted out of the muck. For only when it shines can anything be lifted. Else we continue to produce the same muck.
We need to pray. Pray for the strength. Pray for the spirit. To the Good. To the Better. And the Best.
There is something we serve and it is greater than ourselves. We respond to it. Seek unity with this something. Let it become a part of you. Let it be you.

Read the book called Utopia. You don’t want to live there.

The modern world has pretty much done that for some of its citizens. Someday perhaps all of its citizens can enjoy it too.

A utopia is by definition unreachable.

It can't. Not enough people would agree about what constitutes utopia.

It can't. Utopian societies have been tried many, many times and each time has ended in failure. the problem with "utopian" thinking is it expects everyone to be equal, and by equal I mean the same. The same drive, the same attitude, the same desires, contribute the same level of output. Humanity is not a homogenous vat of glop that can just be sprinkled around here and there and everyone be happy and satisfied. Utopian societies ignore individualism, personality traits, ambition. Some people will always overachieve, some will always underachieve. Utopian societies disregard those traits.
New Harmony, Indiana is a perfect example. The founder Robert Owen, led a drive to attract a international scientists, scholars, and artists in 1825. The problem with that is everyone thought they were too good to clean the community barns, cook communal meals, pick up the trash. Those jobs are vitally important to a society, but the 'elite' class want nothing to do with it other than having someone else do it.
Robert Owen's Utopian society of New Harmony failed in just two years. Every other place this has been tried has had similar results.

Humanity can’t because a utopia requires the people to act, behave and put the greater good of every citizen so that everyone is content, happy and healthy/safe, above the needs of yourself so no getting greedy or power hungry and trying to get more than the whole group. It goes against human nature to always put the needs of others/anyone before considering what you want personally. Some selfishness is a part of or innate will to survive in the face of danger or fear. Utopias also require that people aren’t greedy, egotistical, money hungry and insatiable. Humans could never put these aside even if they really wanted to. Emotions cloud our judgement and lead to wars and all kinds of awful human behavior. Much easier to e a dystopia. We’re good at being terrible.
