What do you think would have happened, if the UK, France & Belgium had not declared war on Nazi Germany, but the USSR or even both upon the?

Update:

invasion of Poland by both countries?

The Soviets should have had war declared on them since they did exactly the same thing Germany did.

The fact that no war was declared on the USSR strongly suggests that the war wasn't about Germany's invasion of Poland - which it wasn't. The war was about enforcing the terms of the Versailles Treaty which drove Germany into oppression.

Hitler tried to restore Germany and its right of self-determination as guaranteed by international law - but was illegally taken away by Treaty.

The Soviets were the ones trying to expand their living space to spread Communism into Europe - which they accomplished once the war was over when the Western Allies awarded the entire eastern half of Germany to them.

Poland would have ended up being occupied by the Soviets.

Good job that didn't happen then. Oh, wait ...
