    Simplistic much?? Totally leave the father out of the picture. .

    Being a parent is important, yes. . .but it doesn't stop at the birth. A person bats a home run on the biological scale when they see happy, healthy grandchildren nurtured by the offspring they raised.

    Frankly, a lot of people have no business procreating when they aren't willing to invest a substantial part of their lives and energy into their progeny.
