** You can google or Bing .... "NASA NOAH Hadley...." and find the PDF of the study. released in June but liberal media .........Not a peep. Not surprising sence they already announced that no, alternative opinions (OR SCIENCE) was gonna be allowed on "their" airways.

They been using the "adjusted" readings to declare each year "the Warmest on Record". They just did it for 2016. The pressure for Global Warming policies is "heating up", obviously a lot more than the planet.

**Gore has another ridiculous "documentary" out ( with no documents whatsoever). It is more ridiculous than the other one.

I say that the climate change theorists and the deniers BOTH don't know enough to back up their conclusions? That a HUGE complex system like a planetary environment isn't that easily reduced to formulas and definitive conclusions? And if I SUPPORT ecological measures because messing with the chemical balance and the heat balance of a system we don't understand and that _I_ rely on to keep me alive is a very very very bad idea? And, using expressions from a smaller scale, that we're burning a plastic fire on the living room rug with the windows closed, storing garbage in the bedroom, peeing in the well we drink out of, and running the heat and the air conditioner at the same time? Does my refusal to ritually bow before accepted conclusions about how the process of environmental degradation works, HAVE to mean I'm an anti-science dork who doesn't accept that degradation can happen?

  • If money were no object, how would you clean up the oceans?

Best answer: Design a boat with a conveyer designed to scoop up floating plastics and send it into the Great Pacific garbage patch- harvest it, bring it back, chip it and burn it in coal fired power stations as an added fuel. Maybe not the best use of it - but the easiest, and will remove the problem in that area. Clean... show more

Maybe not the best use of it - but the easiest, and will remove the problem in that area.
Clean burning coal power stations will be able to burn it with reduced emissions, and the heat produced is a valuable contribution rather than letting plastic float on the oceans for years.

P.S. - Anything can be pollution depending on its concentration and what effect it has on the ecosystem. It doesn't necessarily have to be immediately and highly toxic to humans.

One major "skeptic" complaint about efforts to actually deal with AGW is that 2 major sources of alternate energy, wind and solar, are somewhat intermittent. Often *predictably* intermittent, at least for solar, but it is clear that no modern industrial nation would cope well with solar and wind used as the only source of power without some mechanism to deal with that intermittence. So, how many methods can you list to deal with that, while still using solar and wind as (at a minimum) major components of the energy mix? Bonus points for specificity (eg listing different energy storage methods instead of just saying "storage")

Best answer: I think that the government haven't thought this through completely and that it will be abandoned in part, or completely, long before the appointed date. There's no indication that the world will be following suit, and our own car industry will find itself in a ridiculous position, with the remainder of the world retaining petrol if not diesel engines whilst we shall only be manufacturing electric cars.
How will the combustion engine market decline? It can't be phased out, because there would come a point where many petrol engined vehicles are still around, needing fuel, but it will be unprofitable for petrol stations to remain open, and oil producing countries will only supply fuel at exhorbitant prices because we are using so little. When do we stop buying cars with petrol engines. That's all we are seriously being offered at the moment.
What will happen with regard to recharging vehicles? The infrastructure would have to be vast and people who live in big apartment complexes will be fighting to the death for space at charging points.
It's all rather ridiculous, and without the government explaining HOW they are seriously going to introduce this, I suspect we might as well forget all about it.

  • Have the Global Warming supporters added the effects of weather modification programs that have been going on since the 50's?

Weather Modification Inc. has been altering the weather since 1961 - and that is just one civil company, not the major military players. Has this activity been included in the data- I think it is quite important to ignore.
