• Medicare for all, question what happens to people employed in the healthcare insurance industry when we go to Medicare For All?

Best answer: Medicare for all sounds good and makes a good talking point. It won't work for a number of reasons, and anyone who knows anything about how Medicare and insurance works knows that. However, that's not what you asked. If we do go to Medicare for all there will still be insurance companies. Medicare does... show more

However, that's not what you asked. If we do go to Medicare for all there will still be insurance companies.

Medicare does not cover prescription drugs, so people will still have to purchase a drug plan like they do now.

Medicare, on average, covers about 57% of covered health costs so there will still be Medicare Supplements or Medicare Advantage plans like there are now.

Medicare does not cover maternity, so we will either need to include maternity with Medicare, which will jack up the premium you'll have to pay, or there will be insurance to purchase that covers maternity.

My leasing office says there is only suppose to be 2 adults and 1 child. They are constantly slamming doors and Idk it sounds like banging on the walls, the crazy part is they are below me on the 2nd level and I'm above them on the 3rd. I have never heard my neighbors beneath me! Its CONSTANT! Night and day! My coffee table is glass and it rattles from the constant banging. Now they are claiming the leasing office is harrassing them. Apt offered to let me out of my lease, which is nice but why do I have to spend all that money again to move when I am the one who respeces the rules of the of the lease? What recouse do I have? They cry harrassment by my leasing office and the leasing office ran scared and refuses to do anything but release me. I am not the only resident complaining about them. What can I do?

  • What do you do if you lose your credit card and access to your funds during the weekend?

This hasnt happened to me yet. But what happens if you lose your debit card on a weekend when banks are closed and you cant go to the branch and get funds. Do you just have to starve till Monday if you usually eat out rather than buy groceries?

I have had one interview in the last 8 months of applying. I dont have any experience in retail or customer service which I think is why I havent heard anything back but I have worked in some intense fast paced jobs Any tips of what I can do? Dont say volunteering because I have tried that and all the places said they only take disabled people or school kids for work experience. And if your wondering why I wanna work in retail, I have moved areas and I live really close to a shopping centre which would be ideal.

  • If the rental lease ends, do we have to continue to rent to tenants?

Best answer: New York is a 30 day state. You do NOT have to renew a lease (unless you are a special-case New York City rent-control situation). If the lease expires December 31st, notify them IN WRITING before November 30th that you are not renewing the lease and that December 31st will be their last day. You can give them that notice now, but there's a chance they may stop paying completely. Then you evict them and do not drag your feet.

Your mistake up until now is giving them longer than the grace period. With future tenants, DO NOT have a grace period. Rent is due on the first, you issue the 3-day Pay or Quit on the 2nd and you file for eviction on the 6th.

He apparently put a statement in the purchase agreement that the house had to be free of tenants on closing. But, no one ever talked to me about that. I have already applied for an apartment in wisconsin, but will not be moving for 3 months. There are 4 months left on my lease. The first time I met him he was rude and demanded to know why I was still there and when I'd be moving. When I told him in a few months he got mad and said he'd give me a week. Since then, he has filled the driveway and garage (which are included in my lease) with trucks, shingles and various construction stuff. He tore down the fence that enclosed the backyard. Then I had to call the police when contractors showed up with keys to tear out the bathroom. Today, apparently he decided to rip the carpet out and start painting. This was all unannounced. I have all the windows open because I can't breathe in here. I would be agreeable to moving out, but no one will lease a place for just a few months. I offered to move into an extended stay if he paid for it and a storage unit for my furniture, but he won't agree to it. I think I've been more than fair in dealing with him. And none of this is my fault. He just keeps telling me I can break the lease any time, but otherwise I have to deal with his renovations.

Hey guys, so my girlfriend and I are both 26 years old, and we are expecting a baby soon but a few months earlier this year we both had to move back to our parent's house, because I was evicted from my apartment for non payment, but I tried paying the rent every month, but every month the rent would just get higher and higher to the point that I couldn't afford it anymore so I was evicted. Now that the baby is almost here, we are looking to get another apartment, but the problem is my eviction and my girlfriend has been out of work since early pregnancy due to a condition she has. With my eviction, I can't apply for apartments because that would be instant denial, and I've already tried landlords that aren't corporate landlords and they all said no as well. So my mom is supposed to apply and put her name on the lease for us with my name also being on there as an occupant, but my mom is just taking her time with the process and we are trying to move asap. Preferably mid to late November would be fine with us. Realistically I've been trying to get her to help us out for months but she drags on the process. What do you guys think???
